Monterey/Carmel Peninsula Tour
Sunday August 29, 2010
Friday September 3, 2010
Not to be missed at the Monterey Bay Aquarium are the Sea Horses.
With heads like horses, tails like monkeys and pouches like kangaroos, these fascinating fishes are anything but ordinary. They’ve got more than 15 species of seahorses and their kin—one of the nation’s largest collections of these charismatic animals.
Meander through four multimedia galleries and discover how these shy and secretive animals grow up, attract mates and give birth—this is the only family in the animal kingdom in which the males get pregnant!
The 17-Mile Drive is a study in superlatives, a spectacular set of twists on every must-drive list. Smooth, shiny pebbles first piqued the curiosity of turn-of-last-century visitors to this sublime meeting of land and sea.

From Muir Woods to Sausalito
Wednesday September 1, 2010

A trip to the woods is just what the doctor ordered for peace, rest, and rejuvenation of spirit. The towering redwood forests of Marin County are home to the tallest, oldest trees in the world. They are majestic in scope, awe-inspiring in beauty, and singular in rarity.
To get to the woods, you have to go over the river, or in this case, over the bay. And the trip over this bay is a destination in and of itself. Guests will travel across the well loved Golden Gate Bridge into beautiful Marin County, making a brief stop at the North Tower where everyone can capture on film the breathtaking view of the City from across San Francisco Bay.
Guests will then wind down the Panoramic Highway into Muir Woods. President Theodore Roosevelt saved this grove of ancient redwoods from the lumberjack’s saw almost one hundred years ago. Today, visitors from throughout the world come to see these gigantic redwoods, only found along the Pacific Coastline. After touring Muir Woods, guests will travel on to Sausalito.

Wednesday September 1, 2010
This tour will focus on allowing your guests to capture San Francisco from a variety of different angles! An Organized Chaos guide will lead the tour through the city, stopping at the not so touristy destinations and pointing out terrific shots and angles. We’ll provide digital disposable cameras for the trip.
Stops to include:
• Twin Peaks: Being almost at the geographical center of San Francisco there is no finer place to see the city than atop Twin Peaks. With it’s panoramic views, Twin Peaks should be a must-stop on every tourist’s list of places to go. Named for it’s two virtually identical summits, Twin Peaks, stands at an elevation of about 922 feet, second highest in San Francisco
• Golden Gate Bridge: This landmark defines San Francisco. The gateway where the Bay meets the Pacific Ocean, the Golden Gate Bridge has established the boundary to riches for people throughout history.
• Yerba Buena/Treasure Island: The San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, an 8.5 mile long combination suspension / cantilever structure, passes through Yerba Buena Island and looking back at the Skyline of San Francisco is unbeatable!
• Nob Hill: Once the home of the silver kings and railroad barons, the “nabobs,” Nob Hill's noble tenants include Grace Cathedral, a replica of Notre Dame in Paris; Huntington Park, site of many art shows and graced by a replica of a 16th century Roman fountain.

Experience “FLOATING” Sausalito
Houseboat Tour and Sausalito Shopping
Wednesday September 1, 2010
While a tour solely of San Francisco is an excellent introduction to the City, to truly appreciate the magnitude of beauty encompassed within the Bay Area, one needs to travel northward to Marin County. There, one can witness in full splendor the majesty of the headlands baring their grassy chests to the edge of the continent. There, one can breathe in deeply the views of San Francisco and Oakland with their resplendent irregularity of homes and skyscrapers, bridges and piers and ships of all sort and size sailing lazily in between the shores.
We will cross the Golden Gate Bridge en route to Marin. No matter how many times one makes such a trip the aesthetic impact never weakens, if anything it grows stronger with each trip. Great cables span like albatross wings hundreds of feet above the rolling ocean. Fog drifts in, donning a different character every day: some days coy, almost hesitant, other times assuming a fearsome, gargantuan character, while other days it seems to be only an impenetrable mystery of serenity.
The destination will be the charming town of Sausalito. This artist community located directly across the Bay from San Francisco, is home to a very unique community of individuals who have found a way to make this glorious location their permanent home. Welcome to the Sausalito Floating Homes community, where residents greet the day as light slips up over the horizon, leaving a shimmering, multicolored glaze over the water’s surface. The community consists of approximately four hundred homes inhabited by a diverse and eclectic group of people, many of whom are either executives or artists.
Says one resident of her lovely water-born mansion, “There is a serene beauty to living on the water, in close harmony with the broad variety of wildlife which surrounds are homes. From the mollusks, crab, and fish (including the notorious humming toadfish) that populate the waters, to the egrets, heron, ducks, kingfishers and the many other birds that fly, swim, wade and dive among our homes, we share the environment with an abundance of fascinating creatures.” Other residents speak fondly of the decompression they experience when they return to their homes, where they are surrounded by the natural, primordial, tranquilizing influence of the sea’s waters.
Today your guests will enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to immerse themselves in the rhythm of the sea and those who set their lives by its ebb and flow. Guests will enjoy exclusive tours of some of the most beautiful and unusual Sausalito Floating Homes. Each home’s owner will personally conduct the tour, introducing guests to their inner world.
